[mks_dropcap style=”circle” size=”52″ bg_color=”#dd3333″ txt_color=”#000000″]A[/mks_dropcap]pollo Tyres has appointed former Pirelli CEO Francesco Gori as its new advisor for strategy. Part of Apollo Tyres’ management board, Gori will support the company in its goal of international growth, identification and development of new opportunities.
Gori’s long and illustrious career in the tyre industry comprises 33 years of service with Pirelli, the culmination of which was his tenure as the Italian manufacturer’s CEO. Gori held the position from 2006 until he left the company in 2012. His career at Pirelli was acknowledged by the company as a ‘significant contribution to the Group’s results and development’ on his leaving.
Speaking of Gori’s appointment Neeraj Kanwar, vice chairman and managing director, Apollo Tyres said: “It is indeed a privilege for us at Apollo to have a person of Francesco Gori’s stature join us as the advisor for strategy.
